What if I like a design, but want it made in a different color?
Although it may not always be possible, try requesting the color you want by emailing Customer Service at custserv@dottieandbelle.com. If it is possible, we will email you a picture of the necklace with the new color. If you decide you do not like it, you will not be obligated to buy. If you do, we will ship it out upon the receipt of your payment.

What does it mean when the glass is "vintage"?
"Vintage" glass beads are usually at least 40 years old. They are often found in estate jewelry and re-worked into current designs.

What is the return policy?
Returns are accepted within 30 days. Just write to custserv@dottieandbelle.com to let us know the reason for the return, then mail your item to: Dottie and Belle, P.O. Box 49515, Austin, TX 78765. Be sure your item is well-packed and insured. We will refund the full amount to your credit card.

Can I exchange a Dottie and Belle item?
Exchanges for a different size are accepted within 30 days. Just drop us a line at custserv@dottieandbelle.com and let us know what size you would like instead. Then, mail your item to: Dottie and Belle, P.O. Box 49515, Austin, TX 78765. Be sure your item is well-packed and insured. Upon receipt, we will mail out your order in the new size.

If you want to exchange an item for something different, please follow the procedure for a return by emailing Customer Service at custserv@dottieandbelle.com and mailing your item to: Dottie and Belle, P.O. Box 49515, Austin, TX 78765 (be sure your item is well-packed and insured). Upon receipt, we will give you a full refund, at which time you can order another product.

What if my jewelry piece breaks?
If the item arrives damaged or breaks during the first 30 days, we will repair it free of charge (you pay only for shipping the item to us). Just drop us a line at custserv@dottieandbelle.com and let us know what the problem is. Then, mail your item to: Dottie and Belle, P.O. Box 49515, Austin, TX 78765. Be sure your item is well-packed and insured.

If you want to return an item for repair after 30 days, a nominal fee will be charged for shipping and materials (to be determined by designer upon inspection of problem).

Is my credit card transaction secure?
Absolutely. We are a PayPal Verified site, which means that we have passed the required screening process of a financial institution. PayPal's data security is state-of-the-art including Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available). PayPal's server checks that you're using an approved browser - one that uses SSL 3.0 or higher. Once your information reaches PayPal, it resides on a server protected by an electronic firewall. Their servers are not directly connected to the Internet, so your private information is available only to authorized computers.

Can I pay for my order by check?
Yes, if you prefer to write a check, you may do so for the amount listed on the product page (plus 8.25% sales tax if you are a Texas resident) and mail payment to 4005 Avenue D, Austin, TX 78751. Be sure to include a note instructing us which necklace you'd like to order, the preferred length, your mailing address and your email address.

How do I know if I have to pay sales tax?
The Dottie and Belle company is located in Austin, Texas. Only Texas residents are required to pay the 8.25% sale tax on items bought through this website. Residents of states other than Texas are exempt from paying any sales tax.

How will my order arrive?
Dottie and Belle takes great care in packaging our jewelry. Each piece is hung on a special Dottie and Belle card and protected within a crystal clear resealable bag. Packages are sent and insured through U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail FREE OF CHARGE to our customers and should arrive within 2-3 days of the receipt of payment.

Who designs the jewelry?
The Dottie and Belle company is owned and run by Susie Roselle in Austin, TX. After selecting high-quality materials, she lays out each design, and handcrafts them into unique pieces of jewelry. Her creative background includes Art Director for Gap Online in San Francisco, Senior Designer for Violet in San Francisco, and freelance Web Designer in New York for companies like Clinique, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, and Origins. Susie studied at the School of Visual Arts in NYC and earned her B.A. in Studio Art from Smith College.

Dottie and Belle are favorite great aunts of designer and owner, Susie Levitsky. Always a source of fun and laughter, they inspired the name for her company, and were thrilled by the fact that they are now "famous".
